Hot Rolled Steel (HR) Coil/Sheet/Slit Coil supplier in UAE | Oman | Saudi | Qatar
Hot rolling is a mill process which involves rolling the steel at a high temperature (typically at a temperature over 1700° F), which is above the steel’s re-crystallization temperature. When steel is above the re-crystallization temperature, it can be shaped and formed easily, and the steel can be made in much larger sizes. Hot rolled steel is typically cheaper than cold rolled steel due to the fact that it is often manufactured without any delays in the process, and therefore the reheating of the steel is not required (as it is with cold rolled).
When the steel cools off it will shrink slightly thus giving less control on the size and shape of the finished product when compared to cold rolled.
Ghosh Group which is based in UAE is the leading importer and stockist of the Hot Rolled Steel Coils and sheet in GCC Market imported Origin India, China, Russia, KSA, Iran.
We cater Hot Rolled Steel to the market of UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Africa.
Uses: Hot rolled products like hot rolled steel bars are used in the welding and construction trades to make railroad tracks and I-beams, for example. Hot rolled steel is used in situations where precise shapes and tolerances are not required.

Cold Rolled (CR) Sheet/Coil/Slit Coils supplier in UAE | Oman | Saudi | Qatar
Cold rolled steel is essentially hot rolled steel that has had further processing. The steel is processed further in cold reduction mills, where the material is cooled (at room temperature) followed by annealing and/or tempers rolling. This process will produce steel with closer dimensional tolerances and a wider range of surface finishes. The term Cold Rolled is mistakenly used on all products, when actually the product name refers to the rolling of flat rolled sheet and coil products.
When referring to bar products, the term used is “cold finishing”, which usually consists of cold drawing and/or turning, grinding and polishing. This process results in higher yield points and has four main advantages:
– Cold drawing increases the yield and tensile strengths, often eliminating further costly thermal treatments. Turning gets rid of surface imperfections. Grinding narrows the original size tolerance range. Polishing improves surface finish.
– All cold products provide a superior surface finish, and are superior in tolerance, concentricity, and straightness when compared to hot roll.
– Cold finished bars are typically harder to work with than hot rolled due to the increased carbon content. However, this cannot be said about cold rolled sheet and hot rolled sheet. With these two products, the cold rolled product has low carbon content and it is typically annealed, making it softer than hot rolled sheet.
Uses: Any project where tolerances, surface condition, concentricity, and straightness are the major factors.
Ghosh Group – Globe Metal and Power FZE is the leading importer of the Cold Rolled Steel Coils from its reliable source in India and China.

Hot Dip Galvanized (HDG ) Steel Coils/Sheet/Slit Coils/Strips dealer in UAE
A galvanized steel sheet is a sheet of steel that has been galvanized in order to help prevent corrosion. These sheets can be used in a variety of applications including in furniture, cars, or in making tool boxes. The process is done in order to help steel stave off corrosion caused by exposure to other metals in the presence of an electrolyte or to oxygen and water. By putting on a barrier to coat the steel, a galvanized steel sheet is able to better resist the destructive forces acting against it. It must be noted, however, that this coating can deteriorate over time.
The process of hot-dip galvanizing results in a metallurgical bond between zinc and steel with a series of distinct iron-zinc alloys. The resulting coated steel can be used in much the same way as uncoated. Galvanized steel can be welded; however, one must exercise caution around the resulting zinc fumes. Galvanized steel is suitable for high-temperature applications of up to 392 °F (200 °C). Use at temperatures above this level will result in peeling of the zinc at the intermetallic layer. Galvanized sheet steel is commonly used in automotive manufacture to enhance corrosion performance of exterior body panels of some models.
Ghosh Group offer a wide range of galvanized steels in different range, size and thickness based on the requirement of our customers in Dubai, Abu
Dhabi, UAE and Africa. These are highly durable and are responsive to rigorous fabrication, weld consistency and have superior finish and increased bend ability. These galvanized steel are suitable to be used in irrigation, water supply, plumbing, water wells, cold storage applications and various other industries. We offer the following products in galvanized forms.
Sheet Metal Gauge Size Chart Gauge (or gage) sizes are numbers that indicate the thickness of a piece of sheet metal, with a higher number referring to a thinner sheet. The equivalent thicknesses differ for each gauge size standard, which were developed based on the weight of the sheet for a given material.
The Manufacturers’ Standard Gage provides the thicknesses for standard steel, galvanized steel, and stainless steel. The Brown and Sharpe Gage, also known as the American Wire Gage (AWG), is used for most non ferrous metals, such as Aluminium and Brass.
In the UK, the Birmingham Gage (BG) is used for a variety of metals and should not be confused with the Birmingham Wire Gage (BWG), which is used for wires. Lastly, a standard exists for Zinc in which a higher gauge number indicates a thicker sheet. The chart below can be used to determine the equivalent sheet thickness, in inches or millimetres, for a gauge number from the selected gauge size standard. The weight per unit area of the sheet can also be seen in pounds per square foot and kilograms per square meter.
Pre Painted Galvanized (PPGI) Steel Coils supplier in UAE | Oman | Saudi | Qatar
PPGI is pre-painted galvanised steel, also known as percolated steel, coil coated steel, colour coated steel etc. A galvanised steel sheet in coil form is cleaned, pre-treated, applied with various layers of organic coatings which can be paints, vinyl dispersions, or laminates. These coatings are applied in a continuous process known as Coil Coating. The steel thus produced in this process is a pre-painted, prefinished ready to use material. PPGI is the material which uses galvanised steel as the basic substrate metal. There could be other substrates such as aluminium, Galvalume, stainless steel, etc.
Over 10 million tons of such coated steel is produced today in over 300 coating lines in the Globe.
We Ghosh Group specialize in offering a range of high quality PPGI Sheets, available in different sizes and standards to meet client’s requirement. These sheets are available in various standards and thus find application like swimming pools, parking area of multi stored building and shopping complex, gardens, terrace, open to sky areas etc. These sheets are designed in various attractive shades to enhance the exterior of homes, offices, and various other buildings. Further, these PPGI Sheets can also be custom designed as per the exact details provided by Customers. PPGI sheets provided by our company are extensively used in construction industry. Our sheets have excellent corrosion resistance thus preferred in a number construction application; broadly these are used in roofing and walling. These sheets are chosen for delivering quality performance that goes on for several years.
